What do you need to know about your product?
You need to know everything! Find out everything that is possible and impossible about your product, ask customers what they especially like, why they buy, what they compared with when they chose. So you will very soon become an expert, and they will consult with you.
Without enough knowledge about the products that you sell, it will be difficult for you to feel confident and provide convincing arguments to sell. As soon as the buyer understands that in some matters he knows more than you, he will immediately lose his interest in you.
In addition, many buyers will ask for your advice. They will ask you questions about which model is best suited? What is the difference between them? What would you buy for yourself? What do you think of this as a specialist? What is your expert opinion? Buyers' questions will vary depending on the item you are selling.
For example, if it’s cars, computers or equipment, then you will be expected to have more in-depth knowledge of technical issues. And if you sell clothes, shoes, underwear, then most likely you will hear many questions about what is now fashionable? What is the most practical? What is better combined with what? Which material is more natural and which is more reliable? Do this exercise: imagine yourself a seller of various products, and make a list of questions for each product that you are likely to hear from buyers.
